For tailors, seamstresses and garment makers

Admired looks only become real garments through skilled hands. ORA is being designed to route interpretation orders, especially Accessible versions made around a customer's budget, to talented makers across South Africa.

Honest status: ORA is at concept stage. Nothing on this page is a claim that these arrangements, partnerships or features exist yet. Registering interest is not an application approval, an account, or a transaction; it starts a conversation.

How it would work for you

The planned journey from registering interest to working with ORA. This process has not opened yet; this is how it is designed to run.

Register your interest

Tell us your craft or specialty (eveningwear, beading, tailoring, alterations), where you are based, and your honest capacity.

Craft verification

When onboarding opens, ORA checks workmanship before any orders are routed: samples, references or a trial piece, depending on the role.

Receive matched orders

Orders are planned to be matched to your specialty, location and stated capacity, with clear specifications and agreed deadlines.

Paid per completed order

Each order has an agreed price before work begins. Completed, accepted work is paid out, and your record builds your standing on the platform.

What ORA offers you

  • A planned pipeline of orders generated by demand for looks, without having to find every customer yourself.
  • Work matched to your craft and your capacity, not a race to the bottom.
  • A professional profile that grows with every accepted order.
  • Inclusion from the start: makers are in the first cohort ORA wants to onboard.

What ORA asks of you

  • Honest capacity: take only what you can finish well and on time.
  • Consistent quality to the agreed specification, including finish and fit.
  • Clear communication when something slips, so orders can be re-planned.
  • No subcontracting of agreed work without telling ORA.

Register your interest

Tell us who you are and how you would like to take part. We will be in touch as your cohort opens.
